'train' of thoughts...

I always prefer travelling in second class day trains. That is where I get a flavour of all the spices garnishing India. In a gutsy attempt to just marvel at nature, observe things and people around me completely, I carried none of my usual companions along (music, books, LAYS, bricks video game, sudoku).

Now can I get luckier than this, the reservation chart reads
S Preeti F 21
Srivatsan M 25

Wow that is some news. I sit waiting for Sri (lazy to type vatsan along, oops i just typed , aww forget it:)) and he boards twenty minutes later. He is Tall and Dark (according to me a guy who is Tall + Dark = HHH (Handsome and Happening Hunk)). Unfortunately he turns out to be way too shy, deliberately makes a fuss of not even accidentally brushing against me and maintains a safe distance of 3 inches (I wonder how he balanced himself as he was in the 'away' seat and was literally fighting gravity). I felt like telling him "dude I am not gonna rape you. Please feel safe". He opened his laptop and plugged in earphones and was seeing DDLJ, thats my favorite movie (Shah rukh and Kajol look magical) and even though I have seen it 59 times, I wont miss a scene when given a chance. So I keep sneaking looks at his laptop, hoping soon enough he would somehow mind read me and share his earphone. "Whhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaaaaa", a ear splitting sound from
a wailing infant. Wait. Its not an infant, its a girl, no wait, a child...ok, its from an earthling in the age group of 1.5-3 :):) I seriously feel such kids have a pitch higher than Parveen Sultana and would reach professional pinnacles when into classical singing. I wonder why they wail? Perhaps they too want a glimpse of the "ruk jaa oh dil deewane" song from the laptop :) Or want to just get free from the mother shackles and roll around. Or are too wet already. Or What ever. In essence, a wailing infant next to you is definitely not fun.

I then got distracted to supposedly discreet giggles of two teenage girls. A part of the eavesdropped conversation:

G1: You know my boyfriend never finds fault in me, including the two pimples on my lower half of left cheek *freaking hell*

G2: soooo romantic... wish I had one like that. But my guy really likes my hair cut, especially the two strands slapping my face every now and then... *oww stop this mushy gooey shit will you*

This topic was definitely not of my interest so turned towards the middle aged aunty next to me. Now that I have used the word 'aunty' , thats the word I wanna screw out of the dictionary. In my sister's parent teacher meeting, one female came upto me and asked,"aunty, which standard is your kid in? 11th or 12th?", my vocabulary fell short of all the swear words I knew. And I get further kindled when they pronounce aunty as 'anti' Come on you nutties out there, I am just 21. Please try to notice that somehow. Now lets get back to the real aunty in the train :) she was throwing a threatening look at her husband (probably) seated opposite to her who was smoking perhaps the 15th cigarette in one hour. I am not against smokers as such its their personal life and none of my bloody business to ask them to wean away from cigarettes. But would really feel good if they did controlled smoking and felt the cigarette telling them " hey you, I am cinders in a few minutes, but you will follow suit soon buddy, catch you later ".

Was too tired of observation by now, and fell into a beautiful sleep ( did I hear anyone saying thank god :), and by the way yeah I did dream of HHH:))

bits and pieces here and there....

This is a scribbling of few of my experiences over this week. Been quite active, in the sense, slept only for 10 hrs from the past week record of 15 hrs a day :)

* Have you ever felt like seeking solace even behind the skimpy, scanty, almost non existent clothes of Mallika Sherawat? Well, i did feel like for once :) A friend of mine sent her non objectionable and viewable honeymoon pics :P. She called up and asked me if I saw the photos. I was busy doing nothing as always, nothing at all, including viewing the pics she so fondly sent to me of all creatures :( The phone conversation went like this :

friend: Hey hullo you alive ? Why didn you call me up you stinking pig , after seeing the pics i sent?

Me: Hey hundred years de. Was just about to place you a call. cant believe it. Yeah de, super pics, I especially liked you amidst snow ( here i took a wild guess , as it should definitely be snowing in Switzerland now, and we Indians will look at snow like a 15-day-starved cat looks at milk :), took a shot that she should ve posed in snow for sure :)

friend: Are you sure you saw the pics?

Me: Hey kya yaar, i am being so descriptive, don't believe me ah?

friend: How can you view the pics when I forgot to attach them ? I actually called to say that but anyways wanted to see how you react.

Me: hello hello hello...
Hey dear, i really apologise for lying. So in case you are reading this forgive me. And yeah, send the pics now :) will see it and write in next post about it :)

* I am not much of a god fearing person and dont frequent temples. But sometimes have to go with mom, lest should bear the brunt of bad dinner :) Went to a small temple near my place. I really got pissed off with the pujari present there. Seems navarathri festival, special puja etc etc and he was literally bullying people to give money ( min of Rs 500), he started saying things like its for god's sake, dont say no and repent later, blah blah blah. Did god ask him? There are such ridiculous people in this world, who lie and play with the emotional temperament of people for a living.

* Have you ever watched a movie and felt like-whoa, this is the perfect heroine. Was watching Maine Pyaar Kiya this noon. Bhagyashri rocks man.. So simple yet serene, so silent yet glib, so down-to-earth yet charming....

* Been really long since I have been to a green grocers'. When asked for a kilo of beans , he says 40 bucks, i was like "eeks, i want just one kilo, not more". He gives me such a dirty what-a-good-for-nothing-thing early in the morning look and says i can have it for 39 bucks and not less. I buy them, part with money grudging inflation, return home to be smashed by mom for selectively buying the least fresh ones.

* Never go boasting around saying you are a graduate, school topper in tenth, district topper in 12Th, galaxy topper in engineering... I bet you cant answer the questions of your next door sixth grader. So half the time she comes for doubts in Geography, History or even English, I am bathing sleeping or outta house. Planning to spend next week on learning what are adjuncts adverbs bare infinitives etc, Indian revolution and Atlas.. Some way to kill time :)

on cloud nine:)

Things have gone very smooth for the past couple of days. I have been a cynic, sycophant, jittery, itchy, twitchy and what not for quite sometime but the last couple of days was a turn of tables. For once, Mr.Murphy did go wrong. Its like impossible and unbelievable that life can be this enjoyable( its like Aiswarya Rai Bachchan getting her best actress award :P). Why so??? read on...

1. My parents went to bring my sis from hostel for her first vacation , leaving me in charge of home and grandparents. Its really nice to be head and responsible and stuff with no one to tell me what to do, and me being the boss :)I really love temporary responsibilities :)

2. Have been grumbling for quite sometime that I have not seen the sun, then only realised sun timings here is from 6 am to 10 am(those are real odd hours for me to be awake in the normal course). As rightly said, Man is the most peculiar creature of all, he always wants for what is not .At Trichy I wanted rains, mann vaasanai, small puddles of water where i can jump and splash water around and get reprimanded, small puddles also to make tiny boats and enjoy their sail, but now, I want bright sun, for clothes to dry, for vit D , for an evening walk, for the frogs to stop croaking away to glory and also for keeping me more active.

3. If you call watching a Karan Johar movie is suicide, then try drinking your own prepared coffee first thing in the morn. It ll take you five-ten minutes to sink in the fact and console yourself that,"yeah this should be coffee" and by the time you drink it, it'd have become ice cold coffee( that anyways tastes better). But the brighter side is, you have learnt to prepare coffee that is definite to shoo away unwanted guests and pests :)

4. It is priceless to taste the food prepared by patti, and further more, when served by her, with utmost love and care. I just hope these halcyon days last forever.

5. MY SIS IS FINALLY HOME. That is the peak of my positive attitude and happiness. But i dread the next four days where she s gonna ask me a myriad doubts and other stuff in MP and C. She is having a wonderful hostel life and hostel food too :). I really feel like re-studying 11th and 12th ( yeah, you heard me right, re-studying :P) after listening to her fun stories and super hostel life. I really really miss my friends at college, my seniors, my ground floor, my room :(

6. All in all, life rocks :)
